COOKING IN A BERBER VILLAGE, COURTYARD KITCHEN, A HIGH ATLAS CLASS
WEDNESDAYS 1 guest : EU225 2 to 6 guests : EU175pp
A wonderful day along the Tizn Test Pass of the High Atlas. We will picnic morning tea in hidden fields, cook traditionally, over coals, shop in the weekly traders' market and stroll the 12C Tinmal mosque..this is another way off the tourist trail day and amazing beyond telling...
7.30am depart the House of Fusion Marrakech (or your designated pick up point, if not in-house guests) for the Tizn Test Pass
We will picnic morning tea along the way, produce shop for lunch at the weekly trading market and even be tempted to buy some honey, kept under lock and key out the back of a tiny bustling shop. Loaded up, we drive a few minutes into a tiny hamlet, older than time, where we will cook with the ladies of an olive farming family, in an earth built courtyard kitchen.. we will set our kitchen fires in braziers, before beginning the chop, chop chopping of the lunch prep!
Before turning for home after an amazing day, we will drive the short distance to the 12C Tinmal mosque for a stroll into a time before time, into a mosque pre-dating Mecca and so facing Jerusalem.
An undoubted snooze in the car, back toMarrakech, is almost a promise!
